Vanilla Sky, Memento, A Beautiful Mind, Jacob's Ladder, The Others, Fight Club, The Sixth Sense, and The Matrix.

Finding out you're insane is genuinely terrifying.

That what you thought was reality isn't actually real.

If you can't trust your own mind, what can you believe in and how are you supposed to live?

After their existing beliefs are proven wrong, the protagonist looks at reality with clearer eyes.
They reduce their certainty and add more humility, moving forward carefully.
