I breathe out through my nose instead of my mouth. In yoga, that one small difference changes the sensation of my entire body. I barely changed anything, but the result is completely different.

This morning, I thought about my stops. Stops have many faces. Stopping before the judgment of what not to do, stopping before fear, stopping because I'm worn out and collapse. But when I strip away all those reasons, what's left at the bottom is just one thing. A heart trying to protect me, a little foolish.

I still believe that pausing what I'm doing and reading books to study myself and the world is a good move. The problem came after that. When the numbers and results the world talks about—what I've long heard—didn't follow as expected, I got angry, I got scared, and so I stopped. Without even thinking to change my approach, I folded up the attempt itself.

Looking back, I've repeated the same pattern. Trying a few things little by little, scratching at it and quitting. At a place where only one breath needs to change, I'd fold up the entire mat.

If a small change creates a big result, then before I give up, what I need to do is clear. Change my approach and try once more. So I'm starting today. The products I love and truly believe in—Momentary, Second Voice, coSync—I want to experiment with messages that reach the people who would really use them well. Every morning, without taking up much time, trying a slightly different way each time.

The reasons to stop always sound plausible.
But I know now that one breath through the nose can change everything.
