We will love anyway
The more I live, the more I feel it: we humans can't survive without love.
Love isn't just about the flutter between two people or the desire to have someone.
Love takes so many different forms.
Deeply loving the tree you pass every morning,
loving your pet,
love exists somewhere in all those feelings toward your parents,
and sometimes you hold love in your heart for a friend or someone else.
Love seems like something you can't define in one way.
Maybe we don't even need to define what complete love or perfect love is.
And I think that's something only humans can do.
Love is a collection of countless emotions, and those emotions are intertwined, moving, constantly changing.
That feels incredibly mysterious to me.
In the age of AI, what's the role of humans. Why should humans live.
Now that these conversations are happening, I want to say this as a human.
We love more fully, feel more deeply,
hesitate and waver more,
experience contradictions and learn from them,
sometimes even hate,
and yet in the midst of all those countless bundles of emotion
we still choose love.
I want to put that unconventional story of love somewhere.
'We humans are animals that love.'
This morning,
I had the thought of making that kind of story.
